The city of Arvada and their cops are nothing but money hungry crooks. Got a stupid ticket for not switching lanes for a stationary emergency vehicle even though there was plenty of room between me and the lane the cop was pulled over in and I was traveling safely (under the speed limit). The lane I apparently should have been is was completely full and I couldn't safely switch lanes so I passed cautiously. I wasn't the only one in the lane but I'm the lucky one that got pulled over. It's a bullshit ticket, just wanted a reason to pull me over. Gave me a citation instead of warning cause they're money hungry crooks. Soon as officer C. Scott #1417 gave me a ticket, he pulled out and stopped another car. Racking in the dough today. I'm so mad!!! Forget all the erratic drivers that are speeding and making unsafe lane changes. Instead these assholes are camping out to give bullshit tickets. A warning would have sufficed but the city is obviously desperate for money.
We had a really good experience and getting passports from the city of Arvada. They even took our photos and helped us to the whole process. They were very helpful.
Biggest problem, favorism is among the government, staff, labelers of victims. I was flagged as bad person, when they never truely hear my side of story with cerified deaf interpreter. Then get charged for asking for one. Lost trust in Arvada.
Now all of the hate the government people on here are being a little harsh on this court house, this court house does not control the city of Arvada just in case you did not know. However, I got charged and judge D. Cooke has been extremely fair and understanding of the issues that we had completing the courts orders, and kindly gave us an extension with no more fines or orders to complete. The officers at this place are also extremely kind, having conversations with the people that are waiting to get into court. Going into my court date, I was extremely nervous and the officer calmed me down. This place isn't that bad, I would never give it 5 stars though because this place has taken $150 of my hard earned cash in a matter of moments, that's a lot of money for a $9.25 an hour.
It's a courthouse if you don't like it don't break law and you won't have to be here
